The Greater Milford Area
Historical Society was presented an Award of Merit
on September 29, 2007 at the Ohio
Historical Society in Columbus.
The award was for its
longtime stewardship of Promont at 906 Main Street in Milford, home of
Ohio's forty-third governor, John M. Pattison, from 1879 to 1906, an
outstanding contribution to historic preservation in Ohio. In the photo
left to right are Mary Ann Benoski, GMAHS Trustee; Richard Nordloh,
President GMAHS Board of Trustees and Dr. William Laidlaw, Ohio

Entertainment on Sat. nights February 22, 2006 - New Miami Township Kroger opens. It is located at the corner of Branch Hill Guinea Pike and Loveland Miamiville Roads. It is a super store, larger than any in the vicinity. Check it out. They are also new members of the Chamber. Rick and his son Aaron own and operate DigiMax Signs & Designs at 759 U.S. 50. Rick is responsible for many of the signs and banners that we use for our events. He is always eager to help and always comes through if we need something done quickly. We welcome Rick and look forward to working with him. November 7, 2006 - City of Milford Hires New Assistant City Manager - Pamela Holbrook was recently selected to fill the Asst. City Manager position left vacant when Jeff Wright joined the City of Loveland. Ms. Holbrook, an Indianapolis native graduated from Indiana Univ.-Purdue with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1992 she moved to Davidson, NC and has worked as a Senior Planner with the town of Huntersville, a rapidly growing area west of Charlotte, NC. Her responsibilities included oversight of all commercial site plan reviews, annexations, text amendments, re-zoning, variances and appeals. She will join the city on November 27, and looks forward to spending time getting to know the area, the businesses and the residents. WELCOME!
