We’re Moving
The lease is signed, the keys are in our hands and we are making plans to move sometime in March. Our new location is 983 Lila Ave. in the Milford Shopping Center. We will be between Acapulco Restaurant and Dollar General. We will have 2,622 square feet about twice of what we now have. We are looking forward to the move not only for the extra space but also the visibility. Your Chamber is growing and with growth comes change. After the move is complete we plan to have an “Open House” to show off our new space. Watch your newsletter for more information.
Membership
In the last newsletter, we listed the new members added in 2004. I received a couple of phone calls telling me that I had missed a few and I do apologize for the oversight. It proves that you are reading your newsletter and I am happy that you take the time to do so. If you find that I am in error, please make that call so that I can correct them. The following were overlooked:
D.E.R Building Co., Inc. Dale Roe Day Heights Auto Service Rick Kellerman Hacker & Jones Blacktopping, Inc. Coleman Hacker The Pampered Chef Laurie Reed Warehouse Connections Donna Haag
Speaking of membership!!! We are looking for a few volunteers to help with our spring membership drive. It will require attendance of one meeting to receive your list and packets. The meeting will be the first part of April and you will have the rest of April to contact your list and sign them up. Darren Donohoo is the chairperson but he needs your help. Contact me at 831-2411 if you can help. To continue to grow, we need new members as well as our present ones.
We are happy to announce that we have already added 19 new members through February 2005. Welcome!!

Breakfast Series Kickoff
Chief Jim Whitworth along with some of the Miami Township Fire Dept. fire fighters and EMS staff hosted the Breakfast Meeting, Thursday, February 17th at 7:30am. The meeting was very informative and presented in a timely manner. The theme was “Safety in the Workplace and Home”. Miami Township has many services in place for their residents, especially the seniors. We also had a delicious breakfast prepared by the some of the firefighters. In addition they provided us with a folder with lots of information on safety and services for the workplace and home. A hands on fire extinguisher demo with a live fire was offered to anyone that could stay after the meeting. We were out and on our way by 9:00am. Thanks Chief Whitworth and the Miami Township Fire Dept. for a job well done.
Super Senior Saturday
Karen Jessee and her committee members are working hard to bring the second annual Super Senior Saturday together. If you would like to participate either by offering some sort of discount to our seniors through your business or would like to be a sponsor contact me at 831-2411 and we’ll send you more information. This event was very well attended last year and we look forward to another great turnout this year.
