  • Monday, June 1, 2009 - Neighborhood Vacation Bible School sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Milford starting at 7:00 PM in 5 locatons:  Pebble Brooke Apts., Woodville Gardens Mobile Home Park, Lakeshore Estates, Country Lake Apartments and Town Homes, and Oakwood Apartments. 

  • June 4, 5, 6 & 7, 2009 47th Annual FRONTIER DAYS - The parade kicks off the four day event on Thursday, June 4th  starting at 6:30,  this year theme “ Believe in Magic” the official start of the fun filled weekend.  The committee has a great lineup of music, food and games for young and old.  The deadline for parade and booth applications is May 8th.  Go to www.frontierdaysmilford.com for your applications and list of the events.  Honoring one of our own.  With the passing of Pat Toomey there is a void in the FD committee.  Pat was a tireless worker and the FD weekend was so important to him.  The committee knows Pat would want them to carry on but it won’t be the same without Pat and his antics and joke playing on everyone. To honor Pat, the committee has made him Grand Marshal, Pat’s wife Mimi, daughter Tracy, son-in-law Josh and his six grandchildren will be riding in the parade.

  • Sunday, June 21, 2009 - Miami Township Concert Series second event features "Blue Stone Ivory" featuring Classic Hits at Community Park Performance Pavilion, 5951 Buckwheat Rd. 6:30-9:00pm. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music.

  • Monday, July 13, 2009 - Courage for Corey Blood Drive - If you haven’t already heard, Corey Nickell’s cancer has returned.  Hoxworth is working with the Milford Community Fire Department on this event.  It will be held at the Firefighter’s Community Hall from 2:00-8:00 pm.  Go to www.milfordcommunityfd.org for updates.

  • Friday, July 17, 2009 - Benefit for Courage for Corey sponsored by Milford Community Fire Department will be held at the Oasis.   Doors open at 7:00pm. Show begins at 8:00pm.  PJ Walsh, Comedian will be doing the show. Tickets are $35.00per person and includes one drink ticket.  Tables of 8 Priority Seating are $500.00 Check their website and see how you can be a part of the benefit.   • Saturday, August 15, 2009 -  Greater Milford Area History Society is hosting a Vintage Base Ball Game at Riverside Ballfield onWater Street at Stier Drive.  !Huzzah! Huzzah! the Cincinnati Buckeyes vs. Wyandotte Ghostriders at 2 PM.   The Cincinnati Buckeyes predated their rivals, the Red Stockings (now known as the Cincinnati Reds), by a year, yet were all but forgotten to history as the Red Stockings went professional and made Cincinnati a one-team town.  Almost 140 years later, the Cincinnati Buckeyes returned, to play the game they love and to educate and entertain folks with the original game of base ball.  It was a gentlemen’s sport, played with great skill and greater spirit.  Today’s Cincinnati Buckeyes continue the legacy of their name, and promote the history and tradition of America’s  pastime.  Click here for flyer

  • Saturday, August 15, 2009  - Kiwanis Bowling Tournament - Kiwanis Club of Milford is having its third annual Kiwanis Bowling Tournament.  This event will be held, at Cherry Grove Lanes, 4005 Hopper Hill Rd. Cherry Grove from 7:00-10:00pm.  The event helps raise fund for the support of club youth activities and scholarships.  Cost is $15.00 per adult and $10.00 per child under 16 (includes rentals).  Spectators are asked to contribute $10.00.  Contact Wendell McElwee 528-2067, Dick Lahke 752-0206 or June Izzi-Bailey 831-1651 for more information.  There will be Door Prizes throughout the evening.

  • Sunday, August 23, 2009 - Miami Township Concert Series third event features "The Modulators" featuring Reggae, Dance, Rhythm & Blues at Community Park Performance Pavilion, 5951 Buckwheat Rd. 6:30-9:00pm. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music.

  • Saturday, September 12, 2009 - ART AFFAIRE 2009 Sponsored by the Greater Milford Historical Society, the Fourth Annual Community Art Show will be held from Noon-5 PM.  The event features artists of various mediums including Pottery, Jewelry, Weaving, Watercolors, Oil Painting, Fabric, Wood Carving, and many more.  Entertainment and refreshments available.   • Sunday, September 20, 2009 - Miami Township Concert Series fourth and final event features "The Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra" at Community Park Performance Pavilion, 5951 Buckwheat Rd. 6:00-8:30pm. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music. 

  • Saturday, October 3, 2009 - GMAHS Historic Cemetery Walk - The Greater Milford Area Historical Society will once again host a walking tour of historic Greenlawn Cemetery in Milford.  Greenlawn is the final resting place of Milford’s founder Rev. Phillip Gatch and his family, Ohio’s 43rd Governor John Pattison and many others.   The tour will also feature some of the fine examples of Victorian burial traditions and symbols.  Tours will be from 4:30-5:30PM.  A Victorian wake will be held at the Promont House Museum beginning at 7:30PM. (Appropriate mourning attire is requested-does not need to be period.)  Tickets will be sold at the Promont House Museum.  Tickets must be purchased no later than September 27th.  Ticket prices are $10 for tour only or $15 which includes the Victorian wake at Promont House. Proceeds from this event benefit the programs and activities of the Greater Milford Area Historical Society.  Click here for flyer.
