From the U.S. Chamber of Commerce:

Yesterday, U.S. Chamber CEO Tom Donohue presented the annual State of American Business address. During the address, he unveiled the U.S. Chamber’s 2021 Policy Priorities while outlining the path for a widespread economic recovery through a bold agenda of infrastructure investments, workforce reskilling, immigration reforms, and reinvigorating America’s global competitiveness.

 

In addition, earlier this week, the U.S. Chamber released a compilation of perspectives on the K-shaped economic recovery with input from thirty-seven business leaders in industries ranging from healthcare to finance and energy to entertainment. Among other insights, the analysis found that of the thirty-seven responses:

  • 19 (51%) say they are doing slightly or much worse than pre-pandemic;
  • 15 (41%) say they are doing slightly or much better than pre-pandemic and;
  • 3 (8%) say they are doing about the same as they were pre-pandemic.
