Holiday time in the Milford-Miami Township area is always extra-special with all kinds of options to celebrate with family and friends. Below are some of the bigger things going on, but keep your ears open for other fun things to do starting in just a couple weeks ?

Miami Township’s Holiday Parade
Thursday, November 18
7:00 PM • Business 28 from Miami Plaza to Wolfpen Pleasant Hill Rd.

Bring your lawn chair and join us on the parade route that starts at Miami Plaza and proceed along Business 28 to Meijer to enjoy the sights & sounds of the holiday. High School marching bands, lighted floats, businesses, Miami Township Fire, Police, Service & Recreation Departments, churches, school groups & civic organizations participate to make this a fun community event. If you are interested in participating, contact Miami Township Recreation Department at 248-3727 to get a copy of the rules and registration information. The registration fee is $25 per entry. 

 

City of Milford Annual Tree Lighting

The City of Milford is holding its annual tree lighting Friday, November 26 at 6:30 pm at Memorial Park in downtown Milford

 

Hometown for the Holidays
Thanksgiving weekend, November 26-28
Downtown Milford

Historic Milford Association’s annual Hometown for the Holidays is scheduled for Thanksgiving weekend.  This annual family-friendly event is free and open to the public and will feature a variety of holiday happenings along the four-block Main Street (U.S. Route 50) historic district of Milford, Ohio 45150.

Visitors will revel in the sounds and delights of the holidays as they shop local for unique gift items, dine in the town’s restaurants and brewery, and take advantage of the many great service providers. All while celebrating the spirit of the season with family and friends!

Strolling Victorian carolers and free antique fire engine rides fill the air with old town holiday charm. Be sure to take time to visit Santa!

 

Holiday Hoopla & Tree Lighting
Saturday, December 4
3-5:30 PM • Miami Township Civic Center

Bring your whole family to enjoy this fun-filled free event. Children can visit with Santa, decorate cookies, have their faces painted, and make holiday crafts. The Miami Township Christmas Tree will be lit at 5:15 p.m.

Come see the beautiful Promont House, former home of Ohio’s 43rd Governor John Pattison

Santa leaves his sleigh and climbs onto a fire truck to visit each neighborhood in the City of Milford, handing out treat bags and visiting with children.
